Yes, only individuals with a ScreenSteps account are able to certify an article.  #### Does an article need to be certified before it can be published? No. Sometimes employees and customers need updates right away. If we impose a requirement for certification before an article is published, you either: 1. Let outdated information persist in your knowledge base for too long 2. Or, you end up with authors that are certifying an article just so that they can publish it, even if it isn't correct Certification is meant to be an extra validation that content is accurate, not a gatekeeper that keeps content from being published. #### What happens when an article's certification expires? An email will be sent to the process owner for the article letting them know that they need to re-certify the article. #### When a certification expires, is the article unpublished or is a notice shown to end-users? No. When a certification expires, it will not affect what end-users see. The person assigned to certify the content will receive an email informing them that they need to re-certify the article. #### Can multiple people be assigned as process owners to the same article?
