We are looking for a videographer who can visually tell our story, communicate our vision, and connect with and grow our audience, setting us up as experts in the field of knowledge management and employee training.

As part of the marketing team, the videographer will work closely with the content marketing manager to execute videos from concept through completion. The videographer will create content for a variety of different channels and platforms, including our website, blog, YouTube, and other social media channels.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Create a consistent and trusted video presence for our brand that generates new quality leads
  • Write, film, produce and publish videos for multiple channels (Social, Website, etc.)
  • Write and outline scripts and storyboards for our on-screen talent
  • Collect and record b-roll footage (primarily screen recordings of software)
  • Manage, grow, and maintain YouTube audience
  • Monitor and analyze video metrics and performance
  • Assist in maintaining the video hosting platform and understanding best practices
  • Most commonly, you will be responsible for editing and publishing content pre-recorded by our company spokesperson

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in developing interview questions and storyboards
  • Interviewing appropriate staff and/or clients
  • Creating graphics for videos and/or social media channels
  • Assisting in the social-sharing of the video content
  • Helping to sustain and guide the video creative process
  • Staying up-to-date with all new technological advances and video design trends

Technical Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Video Editing Software (Adobe Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Experience designing graphics with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
  • Proficient with Envato Elements AND/OR other stock video/music/graphic sites
  • Proficient with Camtasia, Screenflow, or other screen recording software
  • Experience publishing videos to HubSpot, Vimeo, and YouTube
  • Proficient at storyboarding, scripting, and concepting
  • Understand basic and advanced composition techniques
  • Understand the fundamentals of branding
  • Very detail-oriented and able to identify quality issues in audio and video

  • Self-starter and independent worker that treats the brand as your own
  • Owns the production process and does what it takes to make great content
  • Collaborative nature — is able to work well within a team, bring ideas, take direction/feedback
  • Has a creative visual eye and is able to present abstract technology ideas in images and design
  • Organized with attention to detail for managing multiple projects at once
  • Deadline-driven with the ability to stick to a schedule and manage time effectively
  • Doesn’t settle for a project to be done, but seeks to produce quality videos
  • Deep understanding of audience-driven content; looks at the content from the eye of the viewer to create the best experience
  • Ability to learn new skills and determine ongoing learning opportunities for video techniques

Bonus Points If:

  • Experience building a YouTube channel
  • Understand SEO best practices for video
  • Experience creating videos for SaaS products; understanding of knowledge base software
  • Proficient in graphic design
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, and therefore treat the position as if it was your own company
